Modern
Modern is available for children from the age of 4. This style is energetic and appeals to children, as it is very expressive. It leads onto jazz dance, which is seen in musical theatre today. It is similar in structure to ballet with barre work, centre exercises and travelling movements, but it also includes floor work and stretching. We follow the ISTD Modern Theatre dance syllabus, and children are entered for examinations from 5 years of age.
